We target research in the broad area of distributed "embedded systems and SW", and specifically the development of trustworthy (Dependable and Security) SW/OS and protocols as an infrastructural basis for secure/trustworthy systems and services. The thrust is on system level issues encompassing architectural, algorithmic and especially "robust middleware" (software/OS) issues in safety-critical as well as service/cost-critical distributed and networked systems.
